Living on the Front Line

You are awesome warriors, we have no choice but to stay on the front line and stay in the plan. The enemy has stolen too much off of us and we have come too far to give up or loose heart… God says that He has more for us than we can think or imagine… and I am holding Him to that promise.

I have just read Jentezen’s book ‘Believe That You Can’  in it he talks about measuring lines...

Zech 2:1 Then I raised my eyes and looked, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand. 2 So I said, "Where are you going?" And he said to me, "To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its width and what is its length." 3 And there was the angel who talked with me, going out; and another angel was coming out to meet him, 4 who said to him, "Run, speak to this young man, saying: 'Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls, because of the multitude of men and livestock in it. 5 For I,' says the Lord, 'will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.'

We unintentionally put boundaries on what we think God can do and what we can ask for… and what we think we deserve.  It’s a mind set I struggle with almost every day… but Vereen spoke this word into my life which brought tears to my eyes….

‘What He has done for others He will do for you.

I pray this word hits you in the spirit as it did me. He is no respecter of men as you well know, but how easily we forget as the waves of life's circumstances rise up to challenge our thinking and emotions.

Brian Houston posted this on twitter today…

'If GOD is in it, you CAN do it! ..But will you make the changes? Count the cost? Have the patience? Last the distance? B. Thursday 6 Aug 09

Counting the cost and being patient are the weapons that defeat the enemy and will also get the backing from heaven.

Isaiah 65: 21 They will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit. 22 No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of my people; my chosen ones will long enjoy the works of their hands. 23 They will not toil in vain or bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the Lord, they and their descendants with them. 24 Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.

We do not labour in vain, though so many times I feel I am because breakthrough is not coming… maybe the price we pay is the weapon that the enemy cannot overcome? Our patience is to be longer lasting than his? The enemy gives up and waits for a more opportune time? Meanwhile we snatch the territory while he is looking elsewhere for an easier target?

In my post ‘Against All Odd’s I commented about Job 28:1-2. The mine where silver, gold and iron is found. This patience and perseverance is the iron being mined in my life, and reworked in the furnace of circumstances turning it into steel. The result is that what I found too difficult a year ago I find easy now, what I found hard a few months ago I find easier now…. What I found too frightening to face last week……
